@Delaware84
I just got this book a few weeks ago - I am currently a pre-law student, getting my masters. And I am hoping to do the type of work Mr. Row is doing.

Its not about getting justice for the victim, its about punishment for the crime.

It's easy to say you want somebody to pay, when nothing has happened to you or your family as yet.

@boogiechillen123 I have had two family members murdered, and i do not want those two people to die. By killing them it does not replace my loved ones. It does not close that painful chapter in our family's life. All it does it create another set of victims. Think about the family of the criminal...his mother, his father, his kids. And if I was killed, taken from my family I would hope someone would speak on behalf of my killer.

This is nonsense. I feel like if one of my family members commited a heinous crime (rape with murder, molestation with murder, or torture with murder) that I would honestly want them to pay for what they did with their life. Its not a matter of whether the death penalty hurts criminals families, and its not a matter of getting revenge for the family of the victim. Its about getting justice for the victim, and if I'm murdered I sure as hell want my murderer to pay with his/her life.
